HOW IT WORKS

Oral Appliance THerapy Vs. CPAP

Oral appliance therapy works by holding the lower jaw in a slightly forward position, similar to the "head tilt chin lift" technique taught in CPR, which opens the airway and allows the user to breathe normally. Oral appliances:

  • Use no power

  • Have no hose or mask

  • Let you breathe on your own

  • Require little maintenance

  • Make no noise

  • Are VERY portable

  • Are custom made

Embrace Your Best Sleep

The above image is an example of a custom-made oral appliance that treats sleep apnea without the need for a mask, hose, or power.

All of our oral appliances are custom-made and vary in design, color, mechanism, and more to fit each patient's individual needs and comfort preferences.

WE CAN HELP YOU

Sleep Better, Live Better

Treating sleep apnea is crucial in order to prevent these health problems and improve the quality of life for those who suffer from the condition. There are several treatment options available, including lifestyle changes, such as losing weight and avoiding alcohol and sedatives, and the use of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines. For some people, an oral appliance can be an effective alternative to a CPAP machine. An oral appliance is a custom-fit device that is worn in the mouth during sleep to help keep the airway open and prevent interruptions in breathing.
